I have to say just one more time how awesome the whole crew was for this shoot!

The day was filled with excitement & laughter, and a HUGE dose of just plain fabulousness.

YET again I find myself wondering how I get so lucky to have so much fun doing what I love to do?!

This shoot was amazing & I had such a lovely afternoon with these ladies!  This group of hair stylists & hair models completely knocked my socks off with their FAB-u-lous-NESS!  Mothers, daughters, college & high school students – we celebrated all stages of a woman’s life. These are not paid models, yet you would seriously never know it.  Every single one of them rocked my camera’s world, and here’s a glimpse from last Saturday to prove it!

I can’t even tell you how many more awesome shots there are to share!

This weekend I will be shooting fashion portraits at the Big Hair Salon in Apex.  I am a client there, and have been for many years.  They have a beautiful lobby with huge windows& a large wall behind the reception area.  I have always imagined a large photo display on that wall, and now it will become a reality – so cool!  The owner has lined up clients that are willing to participate and have their photo taken.  We will use these images to design this wall display.  I couldn’t be much more excited than this, and I can only imagine how the clients/models are feeling!

To prepare for this shoot, I set up my studio lighting gear in my house and practiced on my family over the weekend.  Very informal, here and there, a few bed heads – lots of fun.  Tried different lighting set-ups to see which I prefer.  I will definitely be back here with a post with details of the set-up I used for this shoot, what gear & why I chose it.

But for now, here are a few of the shots I got – several to be hanging on my walls in the near future!
