From the moment I met these two at their engagement session, I knew right away that this love is true & lasting. I feel so blessed to have met these wonderful families, so open hearted, kind & just great folk to be around!

We met on a Sunday afternoon, early in the afternoon. Although these two met in Raleigh, they do reside here and they needed to hit the road later that afternoon to head back home.
We met at a very popular brew pub, to meet and greet and get to know each other a bit before I started shooting. I could tell immediately that these two were made for each other. So comfortable & confident, and absolutely radiant with love! I felt at ease immediately, and as if I had known them for a while already.
We began our photo shoot at this brew pub, as it has a fabulous backdrop view of downtown Raleigh. The light was a little brighter than I would have liked, but they were real troopers and managed not to squint too much! We then all jumped in my car and proceeded on our adventure, finding some new spots that I will definitely use in future photos!

We wrapped up our shoot in this beautiful field. It was even more in bloom than the week before, and I think they were as excited as I was when we drove up.

Sunday I met Amy & Brad for what I dubbed a ‘sunny’ engagement session in downtown Raleigh! I normally start my sessions around the time we ended this one, simply because the sun is not as bright & the light is softer. They were on a time constraint so we just went with it, and I’m glad we did!
I love the way the images are brilliant and full of their love for each other.

When I read the topic for this week’s photo challenge at I Heart Faces, I knew exactly which image I wanted to use!
This family session was a lot of fun because we worked together to somewhat stylize a picnic. The Mom is SO talented, and her taste is impeccable!
I think it is so important for a couple to celebrate their relationship, as it is what keeps a family together & strong! I was glad that these two allowed me to capture their love for each other. So genuine.

This mild winter weather makes me want to take pictures!
Not only are mini-sessions are a great way to try out custom photography, they are an easy & economical way to update your chil and/or family photos. Think about how happy Grandma will be to get a new photo of your little darling! Think about how thrilled your little darling will be to hand out a valentine with his or her PHOTO on it! Simply attach to a gift bag of candy and they’ll be the star of the classroom
