Family Fun Photo Challenge | I Heart Faces | Raleigh Cary Apex Family Portrait Photographer

We gathered for the Christmas holiday break in Florida this year.  It had been 2+ years since we were all together, and our size increased by three (or four?!)

This is my side of the family, in ENTIRETY!

I can honestly say that we all like to be around each other, and have a TON of FUN when we’re together! (That’s me on your left, yellow shirt, pointing the shutter remote)

My heart was so happy to be around all of the people that I love the most in the world.

Check out more ‘Family Fun’ over at I Heart Faces this week!

2011: A (Spectacular!) Year in Review | Raleigh Cary Apex Photographer

Wow.  I am somewhat speechless at this moment.  I just spent the last few hours viewing my image galleries from 2011, and reflecting upon every session that I was lucky enough to be a part of.  My heart is so full of thankfulness, and my eyes are full of disbelief that I met and photographed so many fun & fabulous people!  Seriously, someone pinch me already!

These images are only a very small representation of what I adore & what I am proud of this year.

Thank you again, from the bottom of my heart, for allowing me to capture your precious smiles & memories.

Looking forward to seeing many of you again in 2012!

Happy 2012!! | Raleigh Cary Apex Photographer

We had a busy, relaxing & wonderfully ‘unplugged’ week in Florida,  with lots of time playing and catching up with my entire family (have lots of big group photos to share soon).  Now we are unpacking and gearing up to return to the real world & all the routines that go with it.

I am working on my ‘best of 2011’ photos to share with you soon – what an amazing year 2011 was!

Thank you again to all of my amazing friends & wonderful clients … lots of great things in store for 2012!

The J Twins ~ Sweet Angels | Raleigh Durham Cary Apex Child Newborn Photographer

A few weeks ago a fellow photographer friend of mine was looking for an assistant for her newborn twin photo shoot.  Lucky for me, I was available.  I’ve only done one newborn shoot, and it was almost two years ago, so I was ready to get my feet wet again.  Nothing compares to hands on experience!

These two little miracles were so good for us.  They only fussed when they were hungry, and responded well to our patting and shushing :)  It took a whole lot of patience to get them to stay in these poses, but was it ever so worth it!

I was hoping for a newborn smile … definitely a favorite image from this year:

This blanket is extra special because their recently passed Grandmother made it for them before they were born:

We played with one while the other was being fed.  Look at how GOOD he is … just staring at me, and dare I say he smiled for me too! (Cute little wrinkly forehead – loved it)

Dashing in this hat, don’t you think?

Many special blankets made for these sugar plums :

I love this last shot because I love to think that throughout their entire lives, they will always have each other.

Hope you enjoyed these as much as I did!

Monday Favorite | Raleigh Cary Durham Apex Family Photographer

The holiday orders are flowing and the Christmas shopping is going … the crickets are chirping here on the site, but I do have lots to share with you soon!

Here’s a recent favorite that makes my heart smile :

I am so glad this client went with the black & white – to me it enhances the spirit of the moment.

Have a great week … hopefully I’ll see you before the end of it!
