Laila | Class of 2013 | Raleigh Cary High School Senior Photographer

.

Beauty, brains & a sparkling personality … best describes this class of 2013 high school senior!

.

I know I’ve said this a million times before, but I absolutely enjoy photographing seniors!  They have fresh ideas & like to ‘go with the flow’, which in my opinion is a ton of fun.

Not to mention I am just in awe at how GORGEOUS they can be…

.

Laila was a natural – so comfortable with me & the camera (even though she said she was very nervous!)

Most of the time I was getting ready to help her into a pose, and then she’d read my mind and do it on her own, and add her own elegance to the image…

.

.

Not only is she a straight A student, but an accomplished musician as well!

.

We had a lot of fun coming up with different ways to ‘interact’ with her violin…

.

I could photograph her for days … so darn pretty!

.

.

Being a late afternoon HOT summer day, some weather was brewing very close to us.  I later discovered that we missed the downpour by about 1/2 mile – nice!

I love to incorporate the elements into my imagery, and L O V E the way she posed for this image …

.

We had a lot of fun cruising this park, looking interesting spots to take her pic. I knew we had to have at least one hair-action shot!

.

Sweet & lovely.

.

Thank you Laila for braving the heat & weather – you were a blast to photograph & I can tell you have a very bright future ahead of you!

A Morning with Baby R | Raleigh Cary Baby Lifestyle Photographer

.

A few weeks ago I had the extreme pleasure to meet Mr. R.  It was his one month birthday!!

He is the first child of a great friend of mine, who has also taught two of my children.  She is amazing to say the very least!!

I arrived at a ‘decent’ morning hour, and we let Mr. R tell us what he was in the mood to do.  He is SUCH a sweet and mellow little man.  Ohh, I hope I get to babysit him, hint hint… :)

Here are a few favorites from our morning together …

.

“She went that way” !!

.

He was not smiling yet, but I could totally see it in his eyes!

.

He is known for his ‘old man’ forehead – love those little wrinkles & wonderfully chubby cheeks :)

.

A whole lot of love going on in this house.  I did in capture a lot of special mother & son moments, that we have decided to keep private.

.

Thank you for sharing your little man with me!  I can’t wait to see that baby smile soon!

Rebecca’s Pilates Session | Raleigh Cary Pilates Portrait Photographer

.

I was so excited when I was contacted to do this shoot.  I love exercise, and really enjoy helping clients capture & celebrate their strength and beauty!

This lovely & impressive client is moving across country soon, and wanted me to take these images for her to have to start up her business in her new locale.

.

I am embarrassed to say, I have never been in a true Pilates studio, and had no idea these reformers were an integral part of the work out … very cool!

.

It’s all about the resistance … who looks this pretty while working out anyway?!

.

My ‘portrait eye’ was loving this shoot …

.

Strength.

.

.

She made it look so easy.  I definitely gained new inspiration – thank you Rebecca!

.

Peaceful power.  Love it!

.

I l o v e this portrait.  Skin tingler for me.

.

Graceful.

.

We are both thrilled with the way this last image turned out.  You are awe-inspiring Rebecca!

Summertime! | Raleigh Cary Family Lifestyle Photographer

Hi ho!  I am still here … my apologies for being absent.  The last week was filled to the brim with end of year school activities and sports.  I have a lot to share!  I also am prepping the boudoir blog posts today, so please check back soon to see three stunning & sultry women here on my site.

.

My girls.

I was outside picking garden veggies (we have amazing yellow squash this year!) when my hubby brought them home from the pool.  It’s not very often that my girls are giggling and really enjoying each other (one is 13, remember?!) so I grabbed my camera an had them lay on the sidewalk.

I cherish these images, and it just goes to show that you don’t have to be all dressed up, or even showered, to have images you love !

Happy Sunday
