Twelve Days of Christmas | Day Seven

Wow this has been harder to accomplish than I thought!  I just simply haven’t been home enough to blog.  And I am really trying to stick to my guns and not sit at this computer so much when the kids are home from school.

The story behind this photo :
Saturday morning coffee with my bestie. She gives me a thoughtful gift. I ask her (for at least the 10th time) please let me photograph your family. It will be your gift. She finally says yes! Took pics on Sunday. Prints arrived today for her cards …  Love quick decisions!

And love this picture because I have know these children for over eight years.  They are like my own 🙂

Twelve Days of Christmas | Day Six

I’ve been trying to NOT take portraits (to step out of my comfort zone) for this short project, but I caved on Saturday 🙂

My family was all cleaned up and pretty, and on our way to see A Christmas Carol at the DPAC.

It’s fun to use the Christmas lights as back drops too.

Oh those big brown eyes that I love so much :

You knew she had to get in on the photo action too … !

Twelve Days of Christmas | Day Four

I’m pretty proud of myself for blogging this many days in a row so far – ha ha!

My folks just built a home in Asheville & I am thrilled that they are now less than half of the distance they used to be from me.

I visited for one day this week.

They are approaching their 50th wedding anniversary in a few years.  The thought completely boggles me in so many ways!

True love does exist.  And love is what the holidays are all about.

I hope you are enjoying my mini-series.  I am & know I will enjoy looking back on theses images someday even more.
