Thomas Family Session ‘Preview’ | An Afternoon in the Park | Raleigh Cary Durham Family Child Photographer

I have to say I was really happy when this family decided to book a full session vs. a mini session.   Boys at this age are so much fun to photograph – so silly and so into the things they are into!  The Mom decided that she wanted to capture their personalities before she blinks and they become teenagers … which is how it happens for sure!

The weather couldn’t have been nicer, and I had a ball photographing this family.

Enjoy your preview guys!

A boy after my own heart … LOVE an ukulele!

Seriously talented kids!  Around the world he goes …

Momma’s love, nothing better …

You guys are awesome!

Can’t wait to share the rest!

Mary Beth & Matt | 11.5.11 | Greensboro Wedding

It baffles me that over a year ago Mary Beth contacted me and asked me to photograph her wedding. The time surely has flown by, and I’m a bit sad that this day has come & gone!

I am so blessed to have met this wonderful family, and am excited to share a few of the images from your special day.  Thank you for sharing it with me!

Congratulations you two!

Holmes Bridal Portraits | Historic Yates Mill Park | Raleigh Cary Portrait Photographer

As you are reading this, I will either be shooting the Holmes/Gruenewald wedding, or almost finished!

It has been difficult this past month not to share some of these beautiful images from this amazing session … but here we go!

Some women are just meant to be brides:

This session took place in early October, and we were both happy that we found a little changing foliage to add the air of fall to her images.

Hello lovely:

This is my first bride, and she was up for anything …  a real sport climbing the rocks and even letting me try to pin string to her veil (more about that in a minute)!

When I booked this session I had a vision of creating a flying veil.  I brought a safety pin and fishing line with me, but it didn’t look natural.  In the end, my AWE-SOME assistant threw the veil and ran out of the frame, and we go these shots that I am VERY happy with :

Then I started playing with the reflections and snapped another all time favorite (that’s the Mill in the reflection):

Pretty little red shoes:

A more traditional image with some vibrant fall color:

I worked her hard those two hours, and it’s pretty safe to say she was elated when I said “that’s a wrap”!!

Wedding images coming this week!
