I sit here at my computer, after a wonderful morning celebrating Christmas with my family. We sent Santa a special request to come today, as tomorrow morning at 5am we depart for our trek to sunny f-l-a! It’s a 12+ hour drive, so we have our work cut out for us. However, it will be entirely worth the trip as my entire side of the family is meeting up …. all *21* of us! Talk about a crazy wild fun time And I have set us up for a photo session on the beach … going to use a remote control shutter release to capture us all walking down the beach. Wish me luck!
I truly have so much to be thankful for, and so many great things in store for 2012 I just can’t wait to get started! However, I am taking the rest of the year ‘off’ to enjoy the time with family, and to refresh after a very busy and fun-filled fall/holiday season.
Merry Christmas from my family to you! May this holiday season fill your heart with as much LOVE and JOY as you can handle!
Our Christmas card photos, taken (courtesy of my tripod/remote) at sunset, Nags Head Pier in October:
And my darlings this morning (who set their alarms for 6am … grrrrrr!), getting ready to open their last gifts:
Stay happy & see you soon!

This past weekend I had the honor and privilege to work along side the extremely talented Rachel Durik of Savor Photography. I was assisting her as a second shooter for a destination wedding at the Ritz Carlton, Naples.
Here is glimpse of the bride & groom … as she is walking towards him to see each other for the first time …
More of this beautiful bride coming soon~

New on my bucket list is to have more pictures of me and my family. Me with my kiddos. Yes, I am not photogenic and don’t necessarily like to have my photo taken. However, I am only getting older as my children are (every so quickly). It’s time to capture these moments, and I am SO glad we have these:
Yes, I have a family picture but I am saving it for our Christmas card, so you’ll have to wait!
It’s a lovely old pier … only the happiest people in the world walk on it (is what the sign says)
Getting ready to share some ‘glimpses’ from this past weekend’s Saturday double header photo shoot … think yoga and giggling family!
