My apologies for not being around this week.

You see, last weekend we camped with four other families and I got a taste of summer.  Except for the fact that my kids are in school this week, for one more day at this point.

I have been very busy, work and end of year school craziness. plus a touch of summertime laziness.  My mind isn’t focusing as well!

I will be taking off July & August to enjoy my kiddos, as I did yesterday when I decided to stop editing and go play in the rain with them :)

My sweet lovies, so excited to have time with them this summer!

Pool is open and weather is perfect :)

Excited to play with this underwater camera (found HERE) a lot more this summer.  Purchased for spring break in the Keys, will share those pics someday soon!

Mother’s Day 2013

I hope all of my Mom readers had an amazing day today!

I had quite a nice day, starting with fresh blueberry pancakes in bed & many home made gifts (my favorite).

My girls put on a fashion show and a concert for me.  My son hugged me at least once an hour :)

We visited with my mother in law and went down town for a food truck festival … yum yum!

Here are a few of my favorite snaps from today…

I ordered these skirts (that they turned into dresses) for an upcoming shoot and my girls just devoured them … fun fun for the fashion show!

My son wasn’t up for strutting in the fashion show (poor brother of two sisters lol!), so not many snaps of him.

However, my oldest took this one (iPhone) downtown of me & my boys.  Love :)

We were getting ready to go out Saturday night.  It was pouring rain & then suddenly it stopped.  She asked me to take a photo of her in the skirt jumping a puddle.

Literally two takes and we got this …

Yesterday I skipped the gym & took an hour to enjoy the sights and smells of our gorgeous NC springtime.

For me & my soul, it’s as good as a yoga class if not better :)

Wow, what an amazing vacation we had in the Keys!  HIGHLY recommend.

Weather was perfect, and the island mentality is what every single one of us needed.  As well as some solid swimming & sleep time!

I will be back with a full post of pics sometime soon, but for now here’s one I downloaded yesterday that I just love.

I purchased an underwater point and shoot for this trip (click HERE to view) and it did not disappoint.

I pushed my kids to be creative with it.  VERY happy with the results!
