Holmes/Gruenewald Engagement | Raleigh Cary Triangle Portrait Engagement Photographer

She’s a teacher.  He’s in the army.  The stars were aligned for these two.

They met on Facebook.  She was searching for a member of the military for her 4th grade class project.  When she saw his profile picture, nose to nose with who will be their flower girl, it was destiny.  Not to mention she loved his apple cheeks!  She sent a friend request to him, and he proceeded to write back a novella (that they still laugh about).  They exchanged numbers & talked for hours.

They met for a first date.  The first time he saw her out of the car window he thought to himself, “man, she’s pretty.  I better not screw this one up!”  And obviously he didn’t!

He proposed to her on the bench under the infamous Davie Poplar tree on the campus of the University of North Carolina.  This tree is over 300 years old, and legend has it that as long as the tree is standing, your love will last.  I have no doubt that love will last for these two … their strength and commitment is evident in their actions & simply way they look at each ….

They were such troopers during their session – the weather was nothing short of hot.  But you can’t blame ALL the steam on the weather…

LOVE this hallway for them … and for her.  RAWR!

Enjoy the Scenery

Hello & happy June to you!  Hope you are beating the heat, as we are blazing in the upper 90’s here in NC already!

I have added a gallery to my Portfolio Tab.  It is named “Enjoy the Scenery”.  It is a collection of my favorite floral & scenic images that I have taken over the past year or two.  Click HERE to take a gander, or click the tab above.

I will be announcing something exciting VERY soon, and this new gallery will be part of it!

And since no post is complete without an image, here is one of my daughter from this past weekend.  I love summertime because it brings out her lovely freckles!

She probably won’t be too happy that I shared this, as she has ‘pool hair’.  But that’s okay.  That’s the beauty I call real life!

One Last Look

The Art of the Auction was last night.  I did not attend.  However, I did manage to (finally) get my children over to the museum to see my print before it was auctioned off.  Let’s just say the art museum closed at 5pm, and we got there around 4:30!  Which was cool – they were already setting up for what looked like to be a stellar evening!

Here are some snaps of my children, myself, and “The Leap” :

And in case your were wondering, the tripod looking thing in the corner was part of the silent auction – a new wireless remote system of bidding.
