About two weeks ago we made the tough decision to postpone this session due to wet day & threatening storm forecast.
Not sure if it actually rained, but sure glad we were able to get together yesterday!

Thirteen beautiful & vivacious friendships were celebrated yesterday, and I had the honor to capture this special day.

Each enjoyed a 10 minute make-over & a 10 minute glam portrait session, and some really fun groups shots at the end.
The rain held off, & it was an amazing day!

I was just plain delighted when my dear friend Cathy mentioned it was her mother’s 70th birthday coming up, and they wanted to have portraits made for the occasion.
I am an on location photographer, so one Saturday morning we met for coffee & I scouted their homes, and decided to set up at Mom’s place. A perfect indoor sun room, as well as beautiful outdoor lakeside scenery.
We discussed clothing and decided to keep it simple, as I knew the focus here would be the amazing eyes of these gorgeous faces!
The day came, we had a room full of tops strewn over couches, sparkling bubbly & Mom’s favorite home made nut mix (quite yummy!) and my favorite hair & make up artist present. A great little pamper party for a Thursday morning!

These last two were taken in noon day sun. Luckily we found some lovely shade & foliage for the backdrop.

I hope all of my Mom readers had an amazing day today!
I had quite a nice day, starting with fresh blueberry pancakes in bed & many home made gifts (my favorite).
My girls put on a fashion show and a concert for me. My son hugged me at least once an hour
We visited with my mother in law and went down town for a food truck festival … yum yum!
Here are a few of my favorite snaps from today…
I ordered these skirts (that they turned into dresses) for an upcoming shoot and my girls just devoured them … fun fun for the fashion show!
My son wasn’t up for strutting in the fashion show (poor brother of two sisters lol!), so not many snaps of him.
However, my oldest took this one (iPhone) downtown of me & my boys. Love
We were getting ready to go out Saturday night. It was pouring rain & then suddenly it stopped. She asked me to take a photo of her in the skirt jumping a puddle.
Literally two takes and we got this …
